The Valais Blacknose are a bit like Siamese cats - their legs, muzzle and ears are black, while the bulk of the wool is almost white. Such a sheep weighs 70-100 kg, and a considerable part of this weight is wool (up to five kilograms from one sheep). Black-nosed sheep are famous for the fact that they can be raised for both wool and meat. Although looking at such a miracle, many agree that they should be raised like ordinary pets - solely for the sake of aesthetic pleasure.
